These disposable salad containers are crafted from food-grade virgin wood pulp kraft paperboard. They are die-cut as a single piece and assembled using a folding-tab locking mechanism, requiring no adhesive.
The paperboard has a basis weight of 300–350 g/m², ensuring the walls remain upright even when holding 800g of vegetables. The interior can be lined with either a water-based grease-resistant coating or a PLA film to prevent moisture—from dressings or the produce itself—from compromising the container. The exterior retains the natural kraft paper aesthetic but can also be customized with full-color flexographic printing.
Unlike plastic containers of similar capacity, these paper containers do not fog up or accumulate condensation when transitioning from cold storage to the table; they also offer a more straightforward recycling process.
Regarding specifications and delivery, we offer four standard capacities ranging from 500 ml to 1500 ml, available in both square and round base shapes. A variety of lid options are compatible, including transparent PET, all-paper, and PP lids. The containers can be customized with features such as viewing windows, integrated dividers, or raised anti-spill edges. We also provide bespoke printing for branding, ingredient lists, and recycling labels. Small-batch trial orders are supported for standard specifications, while custom-printed orders undergo a rigorous pre-production process—including die-cut and color-sample verification—to ensure color consistency in the final bulk production.
We have categorized our lids into three distinct product lines based on their intended use cases. Transparent PET lids are ideal for retail and shelf displays; their high clarity allows customers to see the colors of the ingredients, though they must be separated from the paper containers for recycling.
All-paper lids are designed for brands that emphasize eco-friendliness; since the lid and container are made of the same material, the entire unit can be recycled together, though they offer less visibility of the contents.
PP (polypropylene) lids are suited for grain or warm salads that may require reheating; they offer higher heat resistance, albeit at a higher cost.
All three types of lids feature a reinforced rim that ensures uniform pressure distribution around the container opening once secured.
In our practical testing, the benchmark for leak-proof performance is not whether the container leaks when turned upside down, but rather whether it remains leak-free when tilted at a 30-degree angle for 40 consecutive minutes.
This standard more accurately reflects real-world conditions, such as when a delivery rider places a food container at an angle on the footboard of an e-scooter. Regarding stackability, the design supports a static load of three layers; thanks to reinforced ribs on the lid surface, the lid of a bottom container will not collapse or crush the food inside when another container is stacked on top.
For light-meal chains and delivery-focused outlets, the speed of order fulfillment during peak hours is the critical metric. We recommend pre-formed square containers paired with transparent PET lids, featuring an integrated slot for a 50ml sauce cup—this eliminates the need for additional folding steps at the packing station.
For group catering, central kitchens, and cold-chain distribution, clients typically require a variety of disposable salad container sizes in large volumes, often involving long-distance delivery. We suggest using 350g/m² heavy-duty paper containers with PP lids; these are designed to support stacking up to three layers high and remain moisture-resistant even after warming up from cold-chain storage.
For pre-packaged salads sold in supermarkets, the focus shifts to shelf appeal and barcode placement. We recommend containers with a windowed lid and designated blank space on the sides; barcodes should be printed on a flat surface of the container to ensure they can be scanned reliably, avoiding areas near folds or creases.
For event catering and conference breaks—where large quantities are used at once and items may remain on display for extended periods—we recommend containers with full paper lids. This ensures a uniform, professional appearance on the table and allows for the entire container to be collected and removed easily, without the need for on-site sorting.
If you are looking for alternatives to your current packaging—whether due to issues like leakage, structural collapse, or condensation—please share your requirements with us, including capacity, delivery duration, printing needs, and target market.
We will begin by providing structural recommendations and a comparison of available options. Once the solution is confirmed as viable, we can move on to sampling and pricing; there is no pressure to commit to a large order right away.
Selecting the right disposable paper salad container involves more than just looking at a list of specifications—it requires a careful assessment of every step in the journey from the kitchen to the dining table.
